Hello, I'm Tara Noriega, owner of Signature Bookkeeping! I am a highly organized bookkeeping professional, with over 17 years accounting experience. I have a passion for numbers, budgeting, and helping others get organized financially.
A Little About my Accounting Background
For the majority of my career, I worked in corporate accounting, primarily focused on Software Rev Rec. I earned my Bachelor's degree in 2005, with a Finance and Accounting emphasis. In 2009, I received my Master's degree in Business Management, also emphasizing in Accounting and Finance. Throughout my accounting career, I've worked in a start-up environment, a public company, that went private for about 5 years, and then public again. I've been an individual contributor, and also a people manager. I've managed many projects and trainings. I have been trained on large-scale and small-scale accounting software, and a whiz in Excel. I can confidently say that I've learned a TON! However, as much as I enjoyed crunching numbers (yes, I'm a bit of a nerd :) my career required many late nights, quarter ends, audits, and, as a result, constant stress. My dream has always been to run my own business providing financial advice to small businesses and individuals. So, one day I decided enough was enough and I quit my corporate accounting job - for good! I am now a Quickbooks Pro Advisor, and NACPB Certified. These days you can find me working with small to mid-sized businesses (like you!) by taking the stress of day-to-day bookkeeping tasks off of their hands.
